Jane is in her senior year and her 3rd year on the Speech team AND in Humor. She is also entered in Duo and Drama this season. Her favorite movie is La La Land. That's it :)

This is Aashi's 3rd year in Speech AND in Oratory, with her other category (new this year!) being Informative. Her favorite thing about speech comes down to being apart of a loving community and spreading what she's passionate about to students across the state. She loves being able to see other students speak about topics that are relevant to society and that they have a true passion for. Outside of speech, she loves to watch TV, crochet, and make funny jokes. P.S. She loves warmups

This is Anmol's 4th year on the team, 2nd in prose and her first time doing Humor this year! Previously, she did Extemp Reading for 3 years. Her favorite thing about Speech is the supportive environment at tournaments from not just her own team, but from others across the state. If she isn't aggressively dancing to music between rounds, you'll find her hating on the color purple.

This is Saahithi's 5th year on team AND in Info! Her favorite thing about Info is hearing all ways competitors can sneak jokes in :) If she's not brainstorming visuals, you'll find her dreaming about the color purple!

This is Trisha's 3rd in Speech - 3rd in Creative & 2nd in Oratory! She enjoys speech as it has made her a more creative thinker and confident speaker. Outside of Speech, Trisha enjoys playing soccer, spending her time outdoors, and getting a nice treat afterwards, She can't wait for all the ideas and fun this season!

Yukta has been involved in Speech AND Oratory for 3 years. She is also competing in Drama for the first time this season. Her favorite part of tournaments is exploring the school between rounds and the bus rides to/from school. Outside of speech, she enjoys rewatching Dance Moms and bedazzling items!

Sophia McDermott is a current Junior and this is her fourth year on the ERHS Speech team. Her interests include talking to walls, giving high-energy speeches at eight o' clock in the morning, and drinking coffee.

This will be Harshad's 3rd year in Speech and in Discussion. If you want to take away something from Speech that directly applies to the real world, he believes Discussion is just the thing to teach those skills of teamwork! Outside of school, he loves to listen to Aubrey Drake Graham, play Blackjack/Poker, and Chipotle ... he gets is every Friday.

Garrett's in his 3rd year of Speech and Drama/Prose! This will be his 2nd year as category leader. He's been acting for more than 10 years and joined speech to have more acting experiences.

Joyce is in her 3rd of Speech with 3 years of Extemp Reading, 1 year of Info, and new this year - Humor! Other than making people laugh and putting smiles on their faces, her favorite thing about Speech is the opportunities and friendships she has formed along the way, which continue to make a lasting impact on her everyday life. Outside of Speech, she enjoys reading, binging shows/movies, painting, cooking/baking, and socializing with friends and family!

Akhil is a third-year speech competitor and a third-year extemp speaker, and this year he adds Oratory to his events. Outside of speech, Akhil enjoys reading and playing board games with his family. His favorite part of speech is the chance to hear so many different styles and perspectives that vary immensely from person to person. Listening to that variety has made Akhil a better speaker and a more curious listener.

This is Alyssa's 4th year in Speech and Info and her 2nd as category leader! Her favorite thing about speech is getting cake for her category and her favorite part of Info is seeing all the new VA ideas each year. She can't wait for this season!

This is Shahad's 3rd year in Speech AND in Oratory! Her other categories are Drama/Prose and new this year - Impromptu. Her favorite part of speech is getting to watch the community that's built between her team members and members elsewhere grow from the start to the end of the season. Outside of speech she enjoys spending her time reading, baking, watching movies/shows, and embroidering.

This is Bez's 3rd year in Speech AND in Storytelling, with it also being her 2nd in Duo. Her favorite thing about speech is being able to see wonderful pieces in so many different categories. She truly loves speech and credits it for her improvement at public speaking! Outside of speech, Bez enjoys theater, choir, watching (well...more like talking through) movies and finding new ways to make pasta! Bez is excited for this next season to come to a start!
